Yes, I've tried Bizrate, Yahoo! Shopping, Shopping.com, and SortPrice, and have gotten good traffic from both Froogle and Bizrate. Conversion rates are similar to generic Google rates.

It helps that Google displays Froogle results at the top of the Google SERPs.

I used froogle with a previous company i worked for around 2 months ago, it delivered good traffic leading up to christmas, i can't really provide numbers but we did gain new customers we may not have got through other forms of search.

Yes. We do much better conversion on Froogle then Yahoo, Shopzilla etc...

Following are results GA from one of our sites...

Source, Visits, Page Views, Conversion
Froogle, 3,120, 3.86, 0.90%
Yahooo, 1,890, 2.46, 0.11

BTW... If you don't have Google Analytics... and are using AwStats... add the following to your config file to filter out froogle visits.

ExtraSectionName1="Froogle Hits"
ExtraSectionCodeFilter1="200 304"
ExtraSectionCondition1="REFERER,.*froogle\.google\.com.*"
ExtraSectionFirstColumnTitle1="Search Terms on Froogle"
ExtraSectionFirstColumnValues1="REFERER,q=([^&]+)"
ExtraSectionFirstColumnFormat1="<a href='http://froogle.google.com/froogle?q=%s&btnG=Search+Froogle' target=new>%s</a>"
ExtraSectionStatTypes1=HB
ExtraSectionAddAverageRow1=0
ExtraSectionAddSumRow1=1
MaxNbOfExtra1=25
MinHitExtra1=1

That would have to be a no from me. I have found the conversions extremely poor, so much so I no longer submit to Froogle.

The worst thing for me though was Froogle using our original product descriptions to sell competitors products. Anything with the same name (even if it was a different product). We are the only company in our field doing these descriptions, our competitors either have no desccriptions or use boiler-plate stuff. It is hard to stomach as we went to some trouble to write them (7 months work) and suspect that a competitor gets the sale because they are $5 cheaper.

Although for me it is just one of the many ways in which Froogle is badly thought out.

I get conversion rates around 0.5% (same session sales) and 0.75% (7-day sales).

I'm trying hard to bump those up, as the number of visitors is quite good. anyone have any landing-page tips specifically for froogle?

Just another channel for my products!
