Is anyone getting any traffic yet from the new Froogle UK site.

If you are an ecommerce site have you seen an up turn in sales or at least sales as a result of a froogle link.

Well I had some visitors from Froogle in the first week or so, there were a few sales. But in the last few days nothing - no clicks from froogle UK at all. Now I've noticed that Froogle is no longer on the Google UK homepage, its only visible through the "more" tab. So if they are going to hide it away like that I doubt its going to get much business.

I e-mailed Froogle to ask whether they were going to reinstate the link on Google homepage, and was told no. So I don't think Froogle UK will be going anywhere.

I've had no sales or hits at all from Froogle, although so far it's only been one month.

I have had some hits, well a hand full. But like g3ugk no sales.

It would really help if they did put a link on their home page particular as the high street seems to be taking on the web head on this year.

Google please do all Froogle listed sites a favour this Christmas put a link on your home page.

Merry Christmas.

Get this. Froogle is on the Google.com homepage.

Come on Google.co.uk, please do us all a favour and put a link on your UK homepage.

Many thanks.

PS Please no double standards.

It sure seems that G was all hot to promote froogle a year ago. But ever since then they seem to have lost interest. I wonder if it was somebody's pet project who has left the firm.

Rugles

They had a very large advert in the London Standard's ES last Friday (3/12) so I don’t think they have lost interest. It does seem dim that as this time of year they don’t push it off the Google home page. A lot cheaper than taking ads out in the National and local press.

Well they do seem to be back pedalling on Froogle UK, its not getting any sales at all for me. It doesn't seem to be any clickthroughs either. Froogle US is going fine with small numbers of clicks but quite good conversions.

I just had a look at my main keyword on Froogle UK and its showing "image not available" for every listing on the first page! This includes my own listing which definitely has a picture in my feed.

Lloyd, it sounds like we are getting conflicting reports from over there. But you are correct, if they spent money on a traditional ad, it would seem that they still care.

Froogle is back on the Google UK whomepage, so hopefully this will drive some traffic to it. I'm not sure how long its been there. Since about 9:00pm I think.

New! Use Froogle to find the perfect Christmas gift.

Yes it is on the front page - Do they or do you think they will expand so you get 'google holidays'?

I'm thinking that Google have got their timing completely wrong on this one.

Most of my affiliates are bringing in more traffic than Froogle, even with the link on the home page. I believe that they should have put this up a month ago.

The weekend was disappointing, will have to wait and see what yesterday, today and tomorrow will bring in.

Froogle is advertising in espotting for "shopping" amongst other things.....

So that will spend a few thousand cashed in Google shares then......!

I just don't get that. There home page must be one of the most visible on the web. All they had to do was put a link on a month ago and word would have got around. Because they have left it late, it's throwing good money away.
