Froogle UK coming?

Just heard from someone (big uk adwords spender) that they recieved a call from their Google PPC account manager asking if they could have a copy of their database for Froogle UK. Apparently, their account manager said Froogle UK was 'coming soon'..

Has anyone else heard anything like this?

Yes, we got a call last week from Google along with our new login details and instructions on how to upload our products.

Not sure what the launch date for the service is. We can only see a BETA area at present.

The terms now state that you must be able to ship to the US or the UK. So it could be coming soon.

google.co.uk/froogle shows a froogle search, but does not seem to show any UK products. Everything is in US dollars.

The feed information seems to indicate that you can specify UK pounds as a currency.

It looks as though this could come soon.

Looks like the requirements have changed for viability - used to be that you needed a business based in USA, selling in USD, but now it's saying that you have to be able to ship to the USA or UK.

And it looks like you can specify gbp in your feed for the currency... all this is news to me.
