Hello,
I have two ecommerce sites with duplicate content. one is on the .com and the other on the .net. the .net site will eventually end up on the .com when making a purchase but I'm curious to how to make the .net invisible without hurting search listings?

Use a 301 redirect from one domain to the other.

The redirect needs to be site-wide and needs to preserve any folder and/or file names in the redirect.

Make sure that you cater for both www and non-www URLs too.

Be sure to migrate any non-duplicated content first ;)

As well as avoiding risks of duplicate content issues, this change will make it less confusing for your visitors, make it easier to get directory listings, reduce your marketing effort, and concentrate your ranking results on one domain.

All in all, a good day's work :)
