Wanted to have your views about a stupid problem I have, We have a parent site and a child site, the content for both is generated out of our CMS, now what happens is Google is also indexing the parent site as a child site content. so if I were to have a parent site as www.acb.com and the child site as www.xyz.com the content of www.abc.com/db/images/*.* is tagged as www.xyz.com/db/images/*.*.
This is out of the database so would it be ok if I were to put a robots.txt in www.xyz.com/robots.txt with content as.
user agent: Googlebot
Disallow: /*?
Would this stop the indexing of the xyz.com site out from google.
Your help -suggestions would be highly appreciated.
