Sorry I know this may be the wrong forum for my question (and it may have been covered before), but what should I call my Google Sitemap?
I've just manually created one, but I don't know what to call it.
Do I just call it "sitemap.xml" and put it in the root directory? Or do I call it something else?
I've named all mine sitemap.xml. It makes it easy for me to know what it is. There are no strict naming conventions though. You definitely want to put it in the root directory; if it's in a subdirectory, say /example/, then only URLs within that directory will be accepted.
