Hi,

I accidentally placed a

User-Agent: *
Disallow: /

into my robot.txt file while updating it. Now all my results in google display
NO TITLE
NO DESCRIPTION
NO CACHE
HOME PAGE displays cache from when I first parked domain at Godaddy.com over a year ago.

Just a list of links and my traffic is dead. Since then I have removed those lines and have noticed googlebot at my site yesterday.

Will this correct itself? Is it possible that this is some type of penalty? Considering the timing of the changes I am thinking it is the Robot.txt modifications that prompted a change in my google results.

Hi Wchan -

That line says to the search engines "DO NOT INDEX THIS SITE".

You need to:
1) remove the disallow from robots.txt immediately.
2) submit a "reinclusion request" via form at google.com/support/

I think removing the robot exclusion is enough. When did you put the exclusion and when did you remove it? What did GB do yesterday, how many files did it pull?
