Slideshow

Focuses on text, not images

I've searched the internet high and low for something I have in mind, but I haven't found anything. I'm looking for a slideshow with back, forward, and start/stop buttons. I don't want to have it focus on images, but rather text.

I have news on the first slide that scrolls up. The problem is that this is the default slide, and when I scroll through the other slides, it won't come back up. The page needs to be refreshed in order to see it again.

Another problem with the current slideshow I'm using is that I can't apply codes to the text in every slide except the default one (I can't make them scroll, among other things). I'd like a code that allows me to apply different codes to each individual slide. Does anyone know if there is a code that will fit my needs? Thanks.

Ok, I've got another idea. I think I would like this better. I've got a table with a title on top. Directly under it would be links to a couple different "slides". Let's say the links are News and Updates. Under these two links would be the area where the different information would appear. Is there any way to make this happen while still staying on the same page? (test.shtml in this case). I don't know a lot about SSI, but I was wondering if that could be used in this case.
