Sometimes CGI is not enough [bravia-advert.com]

Be sure to check out the "making of ..." videos as well.

Man, what a blast it must have been to watch them film this! :)

I live across the bay and it made me home sick for San Francisco. :(

Nice commercial.

Wow! I have to wonder about all the ramifications of letting loose 250,000 superballs in San Francisco. Those balls are not light and once they gain momentum like that going downhill, they can hurt! That's why you see that little kid ducking for cover. :)

Great commercial!

Must remember to keep my Lab away from the flat panel when this commercial comes on.

"There's no bouncy balls for kids in America at this present moment..."

<chuckle>

Despite the fact that the vehicles are apparently props, I do hear a car alarm go off when the balls hit. Did you catch the un/editted swear word? I was suprised when I heard that. (It's not that I haven't heard that sort of language before; just not from Sony.)

Through the magic of CGI, I'd love to see Steve McQueen drive through that!

I saw that add at a movie theater befaore watching King Kong.

I thought it looked spectacular and wondered how they did it (I thought of CGI)

I can just say ... it took some balls to do it the old fashion way

It seems the traditional methods for special effects may bounce back into the picture.

I found it highly amusing that in the "making of ..." video it shows the directors and camermen at the bottom of the hill either wearing motorcycle helmets or hiding behind what looks like Lexan police riot shields.

Through the magic of CGI, I'd love to see Steve McQueen drive through that!

Now that would be awesome! :)
