Two Identical office printers die on the same day!

What are the odds?

We have two printers in our office. They are the exact same printers, but were purchased about a year apart. One is 3 years old, the other is 2 years old. Today BOTH printers stopped working. The paper-feed stopped working on one and the second has an error message that says "Internal parts have passed their service life, please contact a repair center".

What are the odds!? I actually had to run to Circuit City this morning a buy a new printer just so I could get some work done..

If so the second one might only have to have the ink pads cleaned and / or counters reset.

These days, Laser Printers are cheaper than the drum units. Every year, when I need a new drum unit, I throw out the printer and buy a new one, as it is cheaper.
