In the Travel market based over past years when exactly does the January boom begin? The 1st or is it nearer the 10th?

I used to have a holiday firm back in the late 90's, bricks and mortar, I can tell you this it starts on 26th of December. No word of a lie.

You watch TV and from the 26th youll start seeing Adverts for holidays, in full swing from Mid january.

The run up to xmas from around mid November is deathly.

Sorry to pull this up again, I just wanted to let people know what I have found.

Ive been talking to a few people from different areas in the travel market and what I found was pretty interesting. In the travel sector things are changing - Each year the January "boom" starts later and later. I found out that it now starts well into January for the UK anyway. That was the general consensus I took from my findings - Just thought it would be nice to share :)

We sold package holidays to places like Spain and Florida etc rather low priced, so I wonder if teh start of the selling season varys depending on price.
