A little old landlady that I know always has her hands full maintaining her properties. Last evening she told me about the mess left behind by the latest of her renters to scoot in the middle of the night while owing her money.

They left a pool table, lots of old clothes, toys, and trash, a ratty car on blocks, and four old tires.

I commented that they were lousy to have left that mess for a sweet old lady to clean up but she said she has an arrangement with a local fellow and it won't cost too much. The only thing he won't haul off is tires. He doesn't ever take tires because the dump won't take them.

That's OK, though, she said, "I just always paint 'No Hunting' on them and hang them on fence posts in the country."

It made me laugh out loud, and I thought I'd share.
