Darn, yet another Gizmo quiz goes by where "strings gizmo2-vi.jpg" reveals no useful meta-data.

OK, there's an adjustable blade, and a quick-mount jack to insert it into something that holds it. Wear and tear indicates that it is old, look indicates the same. Who uses old machinery? Agriculture or clothing. Looks like something to slice things, and if I am right in thinking there's a couple of those mounted to somethign so that multiple slices can be done simultaneously.

Probably cutting fabric? Huge rolls of fabric get cut into smaller columns?

Adjustable - Yes (shaft is adjustable also; set screw and markings on L/H side of shaft)
Only one required to perform iit's intended function
But - not used for cutting fabric.

Gues it's something to make portions out of a stream of - e.g. thick syrup or dough. Am I right in thinking it's rotating? From the food industry?

Used to cut, but not into individual pieces or marks or grooves.....
Does not bore or machine holes, think opposite....

Ha, I thought the end of the old version gizmo looked like the end of a bit that fits into a brace.

Must be used for sharpening the ends of pikes. :)
