My current job title reads "Product & Marketing Manager" - but I was never happy with that. Here's what I do - can someone help me with a good title?

I head a department of 3 graphic designers and techwriters, not including myself.
I'm responsible for all internet activities, excluding hardware (but I have a huge influence on that), including connectivity.
I'm responsible for the design and the content of our various websites and RSS feeds, as well as for "being found", inclduing online advertising.
I'm responsible for all offline materials as well, mainly brochures, collaterals and presentations.
I'm responsible for animations and videos.
I'm responsible for the CONTENT of print advertising, yet NOT for the managing/booking of print advertising.
I host technical and sales trainings worldwide.
I'm the liaison between technical department and sales department.
I'm responsible for all tradeshow activities: booking, planning, outfitting etc.
I am NOT responsible for press releases, press liaison and print articles, yet I proofread them and have influence on them.

What makes me all of this?

How about "Founder and President" or "CEO"?

You certainly seem to do a lot.

I would be happy with Marketing Manager.

How about 'Marketing & New Media Manager'?

I'd say this is kind of similar to what you have but hints at your additional involvement in technical/web stuff as well.

Well, my problem with "Marketing" is that nothing of what I do fulfills the definition of "classical" marketing.
But the second defintion with "new media" sounds pretty nice.

Well I'm not an expert, but your the tasks you described sound very much like marketing to me...

Hmm... sure?

I though that marketing DEVELOPS new markets, CREATES need and demand in existing markets, and RESEARCHES for new markets.

First, drop the Mananger and call yourself "Director", sounds more important. Throw a Senior on there for added umph...

I would say you are the "Senior Director of Interactive Marketing"

pmkpmk you may be right.

I think of marketing as being the creative/strategic side of selling/communications.

Mind you I was actually a 'Marketing Executive' once myself, and I never actually knew what I was supposed to be doing, apart from building a website ;)

Chief Cook and Bottle Washer would get the idea across! ;)

I hope you're well-paid for doing that amount of work?

responsible!= doing it myself

But "overworked" does sound familiar, as well as "underpaid". Unfortunately, current economics are quite in favour of employers, and not quite in favour of employees, especially if you they have family.

And since my private webpage generates approx. 1.50$ revenue / month in AdSense, quitting is not an option either.

The good part is that I enjoy my work and the nice toys... erm .... products we deal with. So I guess I stick with it for a little longer. Probably I should mention that I'm with the company since 1993.
