My ISP inserts AD to browser window

What do you think about this?

My ISP - China Netcom inserts ADs to browser windows intermittently, everyday. It's not a DNS hijacking or a client side adware. They just re-pack the HTTP request package sent from client browser and replace the original URL with their IP address in that header.

China Netcom is the only ISP in north China (China Telecom in the south). All surfers in my city (one of the largest city in China) and in some other provinces see this type of ADs everyday. Maybe they will insert the original webpage to their full page AD tomorrow...

Dear WebmasterWorld members, what do you think about this?

It obviously sucks, but what can you do about it? Nothing it seems. I guess you could get satellite link to the internet from Hong Kong or Abu Dhabi, but probably not allowed to do that in China and of course will be expensive.

Is it within the terms of your contract? I don't know anything about China, but I would have thought that if you agreed to it in the contract then you've nothing to complain about, and if you didn't agree to it then (at least in Europe) you would have grounds for complaints to the company, regulatory bodies, etc. not to mention the obligatory sucks-site...

Yes nothing can I do. I'm also unable to post the full story which has URLs to those "beautiful" screenshots.

I make a test today using a download manage software. I put an URL (e.g. [webmasterworld.com)...] to the download URL box of download manager and the file I downloaded looks like this (which is same as the source file I saw in web browser):

<html>
<meta http-equiv='Pragma' content='no-cache'>
<head>
<title></title>
<script LangUage='javascript'>try{var tmp=parent.window.location.href}catch(e){window.location.reload();}</script>
</head>
<frameset framespacing=0 border=0 rows='*,0' frameborder=0 onload="window.lxmainframe.location='http://61.136.57.198/frame.html?url='+window.location;">
<frame name='lxmainframe' src='about:blank' scrolling='auto'>
<frame name='lxblankframe' src='about:blank' scrolling='no'>
</frameset>
</body>
</html>

Is there a software which can trace or analyse the whole routing process of package sent by my browser?
