I copied something to the clipboard, then got distracted reading another article. I just realised that even after 10 mins or so I've got this slightly unsettled feeling and realise it's my brain telling me 'there's something you need to paste somewhere'. I couldn't remember what it was, just the feeling of needing to paste.
Sure enough, I pasted into notepad and there it was, an email address I had been meaning to add to my address book.
I wonder which part of the brain is responsible for the 'awareness of needing to paste'!? Anyone else get this or am I going bananas?
this is one of the many influences of a parallel world nearby (leftdownover the corner you are not looking at this moment), where you actually have copied the contents of the clipboard already.
So, to make everything pretty, your brain gets the message to correct the situation.
This kind of message is very common but often poorly understood. As an example you for instance will get such a message immediately after you push that red button which reads "don't push me".
