I am still stuck at office cannot go home yet :( it's 12:30 am here... I hope all WebmasterWorld members from Mumbai are safe and sound. If any one is tavelling to Mumbai, I suggest pls avoid it...

yes, i saw it in Headlines today News channel, i think it is happening each and every year during the south west monsoon. :(

Not each mosoon, Mumbai had been hit by up to 94.4cm (37.1 inches) of rain Tuesday, the highest one-day total in India's history. The rains have claim the lives of over 450 people in that state.

very sad to hear the news :(
my opinion is our government should take neccessary steps to build the basic infrastructure to avoid these type of calamities in the future. Because Mumbai is not only a city, but the financial capital of India.
Let the souls rest in peace.

That is the official figure. The government always underplays the damage to life and property in such situations. The real figure is much higher.
