Hmmm.... maybe we won't have a Johnny V Hendrix any time soon, but an interesting project nonetheless from the Georgia Institute of Technology:-

Standing in for Matteo Carcassi tonight will be his Athlon 64. If the song pauses please give us a moment to hard boot. :-D

What happens if it breaks a string?

Now if they could just get it to play the guitar intro to "sweet child o mine" by guns and roses...

I suggest a variation on the "Turing Test" - the dualing guitars of lawman and Crazy J to settle the musical merits of lawyer and machine.

Should be able to sell the concept to Fox ...

I'm in. :)

Now, if I only knew what dualing guitars were

It's like dueling guitars, but you each have two.

pot to kettle:

kettle to pot:
dualing guitars

pot to kettle: can me too be law-type-guy now me smell real gooder too?

I think some background pyrotechnics courtesy of Macguru, his brother Dual, and his other brother Deul, would be most excellent.

It's a vibrator.

Sorry, I prefer to do it the old fashioned way.

Dual, Duel and I, would gladly supply a display for the background. Problem is, just like Crazy J, we just can't improvise.

So, here is the program :

The Thrill is Gone
B.B. King

Stairway to Heaven
Jimmy Page

All Along the Watchtower
Jimi Hendrix

Highway Star
Ritchie Blackmore

Sultans of Swing
Mark Knopfler

The sheltering sky
Adrian Belew / Robert Fripp

And for the grande finale ;

Machine Gun
Jimi Hendrix

How about it, we miss something (else from Webwork's vibrator)?

Macguru: I love your list and the only way to improve it would be to make it longer ...
Comfortably Numb - David Gilmour
Texas Flood - Stevie Ray Vaughan
Freebird - Allen Collins
