Hi Foo-ites!

I think this one is a tough one, but with all the geeks around here, we just can't be sure. If this game gets resolved under 10 minutes, I have a backup game on a very different topic.

Here we go [vif.com]!

Is it the bottom side of a toilet? <insert exactly 22 words here including "underpants", at least according to the rules of this contest as posted in the original message.>

It is a missile guidance system for the sea-dart (sea-to-underpants) missle system used on type 42 frigates used by the British Navy?

>>pick the phone

Sorry I did, it was mom [vif.com].

>>Flatulence containment vessel?

Nope, but here [vif.com] is what is it supposed to contain. Feel like passing those?

Here is one more clue, a cut away [vif.com] view of the gizmo.

I would say someting that must work on a wide range of temperature, under heavy stress, and flawlessly.

It has someting to do with rocket science, advanced pyrotechnics and is supposed to contain heavy hardware.

My nose tells me it will be used in 2 days, depending on the wheather. It plays a critical role.

Is it a modified bolt "catcher" or containment for Space Shuttle external fuel tank/SRB exploding bolts? Supposed to contain the exploding bolts [vif.com] detonated to release the solid rocket boosters (SRB) from the external fuel tank?

Looks like the bolt halves are supposed to embed themselves in the inner core [vif.com]?

And do astronauts wear underpants?

If it's not the SRB exploding bolts then how about the attach bolts that restain the shuttle orbiter to the launch pad? Same theory as my first guess, containment of the exploding bolts on the launch pad.

Or maybe you can give me an obvious clue [ahajokes.com] if I'm wrong

How about 30 words?

Well, the ALT says "gizmo in a Barber Shop" So it must be used to make those cool Afros or Spiked doos. Hook them up and Zappo! Not only that, but their underpants drop to their feet!

Excuse me... I have a Cell Phone [cellphone-reviews.net] call.

Sorry guys but the first one to name and describe the gizmo in exactly 30 words and using "underpants'" once in description wins.

A modified bolt "catcher" or containment cover for Space Shuttle launch pad exploding bolts. Supposed to contain the debris from the exploding bolts at launch just as your underpants would contain any debris resulting from an explosion......
