Accommodation in London

My wife and I are planning to stay 4 to 6 days in London.

We are coming from Kenya and we can't afford high hotel prices on top of air tickets.

So we are looking for:
- Cheap hotels in London; or
- Forums or website where I post our request (house exchange); or
- Someone willing to accommodate us.

Cheap hotels in London - no such thing. Even teh lower end hotels around Victoia bus station look at £150 pw.

Hotels around Heathrow Airport can be quite cheap and Heathrow has a fast connection into central London.

It's terrible...

I found two websites where there are annonces for short subletting (one week to one month). Hope I will find something there. Otherwise, I can forget London.

Try looking at hostels as opposed to hotels.
