OK here's hoping things continue working. There are on occassion an inconvenience with living on an island.

Unfortunately Macguru was unable to deliver an inferred smarties affilliation so I am unable to kickback the blue ones. However, as per his other request todays GQ background has gone #0000ff.

The rules remain the same: view the picture, correctly identify the object portrayed, and post its url. This weeks winner gets the delightful prize of hosting next weeks Gizmo Quiz.

To see the GIZMO: Click Here Foo [saltspring.gulfislands.com]

The Gizmo is what is in the hand (to spare you silly comments like I made last week). An occassional hint will be offered to the Gizmos right. Refresh your page to see these hints when offered.

To releave the stress of thinking on a weekend: Click Here Widget [saltspring.gulfislands.com]
Once again page refresh/reload will reveal each when offered. NOTE: the first is up - please read and follow instructions.

On with the Quiz - Enjoy.

Is the gizmo freeze-dried lettuce smell?

* nothing to do with lettuce.
* nothing to do with smell.
* freeze dryed is sort of right, sort of not. Helpful?

lettuce, roses ... smells ... and I thought I was lost.

Funny pic 1 is your racing toilet?

I thought the pic was taken in your drive ... at least that's the rumour I am starting.

Coming up on an hour and not even close. At least a couple of possible parameters have been determined.

A multi-coloured molded jelly, a cathedral window, and a blue and white jetliner don't help you identify a gob-of-not-snot?

I am pleased ... sorry that is ... sad ...

You would hold such a thing in your hand? May I introduce you to Macguru who also has an interest in toilets and associated waste ...

However ... "blue" is also a parameter. Sort of. :-)

Congrats to you iamlost!

Its been the best quiz presentation as far as I know. The bar has been raised again.

Unfortunatly, I cannot host the next quiz. I will clean up a fireworks display site next Saturday. Friday is "La Saint-Jean Baptiste" my national day. I use to supervise the big bangs every year for this event. The next day is for removing hardware, debris, misfired mortars and unexploded shells from the ground.

I need a replacement host.

Sorry!

Thanks for the quiz iamlost! was great!

MacGuru, one great thing about living in Quebec. Two long weekends in a row to start the summer.

Quebec does sound nice. But I've seen this phrase a couple of times in reference to the area:

No showers, but toilets were provided

I guess that's ok...

Nice quiz iamlost. Sorry I missed it.

Like you sayed lgn1, its only one of the great things about living in Quebec. Just add we have the largest fireworks competition on earth and you get everything to please an explosive nut like me. :)

No showers, but toilets were provided

From a country where people live in in igloos, dress in animal skins, and dont know what to do when the phone rings, youll be lucky to have toilets.

===

We need someone to host the next quiz any volunteer?

No showers, but toilets were provided

Héhéhé! finally found it.

Yup, in one of Québec's luxury hotels, you will pay 500 $ a night, but no shower in sight. ;)

This fellow gives us an entire paragraph about the bathroom, but not a single mention of a shower. And this must be one of the premier facilities.

The bathroom facility is one of the most common questions they get at the Ice Hotel. No, they don't expect people to sit on the ice toilets. In the first year they provided a Johnny-on-the-spot but this year the heated trailer with his and her washrooms seems luxurious in comparison. Hanging out it in the bathroom is another way to warm up, but, alas, it's not too exciting.

Loo lounging!

Maybe we expect too much from tourists to adapt? Its easier to take a bath [virtualmuseum.ca] around here. We do that in the spring, just before getting married. ;)
