Apparently I'm an Irish Red and White Setter.

Well they got the nationality right, but I am not a rare breed ;)

Anyway take the test: [gone2thedogs.com...] (click the 'WHAT DOG ARE YOU?' link bottom right)

has a superb flash machine btw

LEONBERGER

crossing a Landseer with a St Bernard, then back crossed to a Pyrenees Mountain dog....

Now this explains all that droolin'...

A gentle giant, they say.

Why can't they make Flash cut and paste? ;)

Dreads; lol, Macguru! Zero short, back and sides, I'll have you know...

Spanish Mastif... Dog of war!

It's difficult to picture a Spanish Mastif - a dog of war - with a name like giggle... ;-)

I am an Irish Setter. Do I get points for actually having the dog I am? They say owners look like their dogs, I guess I act like mine too. I have an English Pointer too so that increases the odds from about 1 in 400 reconized AKC breeds to 1 in 200.

They can make flash text selectable, but it is an option the creator has to enable.

English Setter...

I wanted to be something like a Newfoundland or Mastiff...I'd even be satisfied with Cocker Spaniel. Oh bah:(

Caucasian Ovtcharka (sheepdog)

[dogbreedinfo.com...]

...the Caucasian Ovtcharka may exhibit ferocious and unmanageable tendencies. It is very brave, alert, strong and hardy. It distrusts people it does not know and it has a powerful urge to defend. Everything and everyone who belongs to the family, including children, cats, other dogs, etc, will be regarded by this dog as part of "its" family and will be respected and protected.

LOL I want one.

Anyone else never heard of 'Hungarian Kuvasz'? They should tell how to pronounce it... But I think it fits me.

From dogbreedinfo.com:

The Kuvasz is a majestic, well-proportioned white sheepdog with a very handsome head.
...
The Kuvasz is an intelligent and curious dog. Bold, determined, brave and fearless.
...
Do not leave this dog alone in the backyard for long stretches of time, as he may become destructive.

Yep, that's me. :-)

Saluki-

"This elegant, if somewhat aloof breed is loyal, affectionate, and trustworthy...It still retains strong hunting instincts so care should be taken when taking it to the countryside"

A pretty accurate description of myself, if I do say.

Hm.. I'm a Tibetan Mastiff - sort of looks like a cross between a Husky and a Golden Retriever.

Site would not work for me, flash player is disabled. Oh well, guess they didn't want to let a cat in. :)

When I was young everyone told me I moved like a cat....not sure if that was good or bad but I see myself as a pampered new england forest cat, queen (and boss) of all I survey. :)

I so wanted to be a chocolate labrador - but I turned out to be a Tibetan Spaniel.

Great bit of flash on that site...

Bichon Bolognese.

'...has been known to howl mournfully when the owner cannot pay it attention...'

LOL! Quite accurate though.

I'm Bichon Bolognese like HelenDev. Serious, intelligent but not particularly vivacious. That sounds right.

How ironic! I'm an Irish Red and White Setter! (Ironic since I'm Irish... Not red and white... )

A happy, good-natured and affectionate dog... Needs space and plenty of exercise!

But I hate those dogs, they creep me out.
