I am designing my own business cards and I am not sure what kind of title to put on cards. CEO? Small Business Owner?

What sounds best to your ears? Please post titles you have on your card and give some suggestions. Thanks!

I had that prob ages ago and put, proprietor. That shows that you are a small busines and not trying to big it up. If you are American I guess you need some flashy title, like ceo, MD or so. In the end it soes not really matter. IN fact just put your name there and they can ask if they want your official title

If its a small business I'll too recomend "proprietor" if your type of business is "sole proprietorship".

CEO is mainly used in publicly traded organizations.

In privately held companies e.g. when your business is a "limited" the term "Managing Director" often is used.

Just a suggestion, if you're not sure what label/position to use, use none. Just put your name on it. It's probably that you do or will wear many hats at once and any one label casts you.

CEO today, salesperson tomorrow, developer the next - it could change.

I've always like the title "Technical Evangelist".

Managing Partner worked for me at one time. You have silent partners, of course.

Front:
My Name
DUI & Criminal Defense Lawyer

On left side contact info

On right side logos for two websites

Back:
Dos and Don't during a traffic stop

Should be obvious by now that my day job has nothing to do with SEO. :)

I always liked "Senior Wrangler" (whatever that means - it comes from a Terry Pratchett novel). I got one from a graphics designer which read "Ponytail Guy". Microsoft has their "Evangelists". And a very good freind of mine has "Web Mistress" as her title.
