Shanghai, Shang High or Shang Hi :)

Quite crazy really, as in the west we were brought up with a vision of China very different to what it actually is, and I personally never thought I'd visit China.

So here I am 8 weeks after visiting China for the 1st time, getting ready for my flight tomorrow for a 2 week reconaissance mission.

See you on the other side ...

now I just have to make sure that I dont confuse:

Chasing the Dream V Chasing the Dragon ...

pls tell us about the food.

My trip in 2001 was extremely memorable although 6 cities in 10 days was a bit excessive.

Must be a busy place these days!

Shanghai rocks at the moment. It is completely different to 2 or 3 years ago. I visit china regularly for work and have seen a huge change in the major cities. The small towns out in the sticks are not much different although the roads to them are much better. The food is still as weird as ever. Everything from pigs brains to sheeps stomach to cats and dogs. Even the veggies are strange as hell.

Have fun, hope youre not veggie.

I have insider information on the fact that Shak has problems with food that go beyond not being a veggie. ;)
