Yahoo Story [story.news.yahoo.com]

Kinda sad that even Star Wars had to get gruesome!

Well, the movie IS about the making of Darth Vader, so I can see why kids wouldn't be allowed. Frankly, I'll be very happy if I can sit in a theater and enjoy the movie sans booger biters making noises and running amok.

Well, when you say it that way, it makes more sense :)

I'm expecting it to be quite a bit darker. I'm all booked for opening night as well :)

These are pretty intense. Who should be allowed to see them should be left up to the parents, but at least they're warned that it's pretty intense," Lucas said...

Hmph. Can't be as intense as the movies my dad took me to see when I was a kid. Warhol's Frankenstein, Shaft, Seven Ups, French Connection, Blacula, Easy Rider...

Look at me, I turned out ok...

For those of us old enough to remember, they said the same thing about TESB just before it was released to theaters.

I just hope this one makes up for the last two...

New Star Wars Not for Kids?

If Episode III has the same bad dialogue, poor direction, and dull story as Episode I and II, then it really won't be appropriate for anyone.

Yeah, I'm hoping Lucas turns the tide with this last film. It would be so sad to see the series end on a bad note. Well, on a quality bad note cause we know it will end badly for l'il Ani...

You know, its so sad that I am SUCH huge Star Wars fan, and yet I can't get jazzed about this last film cause the last two were so bad.

I do, however, love the Star Wars ringtones commercials they have had on lately, with Chewie in the recording studio.

Good thing I'm older then that.

Otherwise my tickets might be useless :P

Got tickets for may 18! (that's not a typo)

Anyone else got tickets allready?

I'll be bringing my own lightsaber [howstuffworks.com] to the premier.

My 3 year old discovered Starwars...

He saw a commertial with Vader in it and started asking questions (I have tons of starwars collectibles around). He is now playing with my stuffed droids and loves watching the movies. unfortunatly I only have I and II on DVD (Watched II twice last night--still better then Barney) and he doesn't have a VCR in his room so those are the ones he gets to watch the most... all though he perfers IV. Wish I could aford the others on DVD.

Something tells me I'm going to have a lot of mint-in-box stuff opened over the next few years.
