A friend of mine is opening a a steakhouse and quite the debate has developed over what to call the place. He also happens to own the local that I drink at and here are a few of the names being thrown about over a few wobbly pops.

The Happy Cow

Joseph Lorin Steaks (nobody has a clue who Joseph is or if he even exists)

Max's

10th Line Bovine (10th line is the name of the road where it will be located)

As you can see, this is not a real bright crowd when it comes to creativity.

Any ideas?

Hey pmac: Tell your buddy to offer a free steak dinner for 2/4 as a prize for winning the naming contest. Might be a way of building some buzz and establising an air of fun. He can even offer consolation prizes for all entrants, say a coupon for $ off with a limited expiration date. Might allow for naming of a few steak dishes in the promo: He describes the meal (advertising) and says he needs a name for these special dishes. Offer dinner for 1 for the names that get chosen. Entrants must enclose an envelope with postage prepaid for the return coupon. Might help build a mailing list.

My favorite name for a steak house is one in S. California called "The Strip Club".

I'm sure steak is all they serve there...

No seriously, that is all they serve. On a funny side note, I gave a beautiful waitress there rugburn scars on her knees that she says never went away.... No people, get your minds out of the gutter; we somehow got really drunk there together and she fell. Ouch...

In light of that, how 'bout "Misteak"
