7 Million UK Broadband Customers

As well as the five million broadband customers connected via BT, there are thought to be more than two million people going online via cable connections from Telewest and NTL.

This is about half of all UK internet users :)

Research by security firm Symantec shows that 25% of the world's remotely controlled PCs are found in Britain.

Good point Syzygy. Just shows the need for users to be aware of spyware, viruses and trojans. Sadly most people don't know the 'dangers of the web' and are not protected as well as they can be :(
