First reports are that a quake has just taken place near the boxing day tsunami/quake zone - no reports of a tsunami yet many countrys on a high alart with locals heading to high ground. Fingers crossed.

A few hundred are reported dead but no massive waves which is a god send.

Two thousand dead accoding to Channel Four news, who also reported an increased risk of a third earthquake close to Banda Aceh. Time scale on this thrd quake is unpredictable - could be months, could be years.
But they reported very efficient evacuations of coastal areas following the earthquake warning last night. So some things are changing for the better.
