Hi, I have gone desperately wrong in installing mysql, php, and apache. I mean, Apache works, mysql works...i think...i don't really know how to test it, and php doesn't work because i can't configure httpd.conf correctly..

so i decided to just uninstall everything and just use YellowTip Web Server....

but the problem is: how do i go about doing so?

I don't think there's anything to uninstalling it - you just delete the folders....

You should try the apachefriends xampp [apachefriends.org] distro before you give up - it's a "matched set", so they all three play nice together.

i installed xampp and it's all running fine...everything

except, when i run my site, the files get truncated, it's weird!

What operating system are you running on? I've installed apache, php, and mysql several times on Red Hat Linux.

MajdAA, there's a fairly prolific english lang forum at apachefriends. While it's not real fast at answers sometimes, there's a search facility which works pretty well. I found most of the answers for the questions I had when I installed xampp just by searching there.

Btw, I'm also using winxp....
