How did we all become webmasters.

Me, I just like sitting around and achieving something. I'm interested in decoding things ie wordsearches and crosswords etc.

I always like a challenge, and every day in the world of being a webmaster / SEO is one hell of a challenge.

This is why I took it up 5 years ago.

My wife needed a website for her business... I knew a little. Now I know a lot!

I have learned how to use databases, CSS, ASP, PHP, I've built an e-commerce site then made it a subscriber based system, I've built a content management system, I've learned about affiliate marketing and latent semantics, I have a habit of appearing in the SERPs that suprises me constantly. I'm working on Flash and ActionScript and I can't wait to learn more.

I have to say it's very addictive, and this site has a lot to do with what drives me to learn and improve.

How did I become a webmaster? I would have to blame WebMasterWorld. ;o)

I had something to say which traditional media and other powers that be did not want to be said. Of course I also had quite a lot to say that no-one would bother to keep unsaid, but the one factor that truely motivated me to begin creating websites was the possibility of avoiding censorship.
