I bought a '99 F250 Superduty this weekend, and I'd like to look into raising it. I have advanced mechanical knowlegde, however I am not educated as far as the brands of lift kits out there. I have an idea as to the types, and I know the implications of certain types, so I want to do this "correctly" (ie, lowering the drag link/pitman arm, etc. if needs be,) I have never been in the 4X4 market, so my knowledge of what's out there is extremely limited.

I decided to check here for recommendations on resources and advice, before going to join a forum that I'll only be a pert of for a little while. (Not to mention a permanent lurker). Have you tried getting information from a search engine on this stuff? Not impossible, but extremely time consuming filtering out the relevent content from the irrelevent.

Any thoughts?

Thnaks!

P.S. The tire size I'd like to shoot for would be a good 32 or 33 11.50 16 ... Probably a BFG AT TA.

Only thing I know about it is what a friend of ours found out when he did his '97 - there's a limit to what you can accomplish since it's 4WD - you're still limited to the clearance between the ground and the transfer case. Though they might have changed some stuff since then, don't know. Our '95 has decent clearance even for some of the serious off-roading we do hunting....
