Sorry for the delay but the gizmo quiz will be up within 30 minutes.

I'm on pacific time and sick (thanks to my virulent wife) so I slept in a bit late today.

Is it velcro or like a plug (at the back)

The front view doesn't quite give that aspect justice, you can't see enough of it, but it's not a plug or velcro

Does that mean I could go down to a superstore and pick it up off the shop?

It's possible, but more likely you would find this in a specialty store.

Would it give too much away if I asked you what was at the back?

In other words, if I saw the back would I get it immediately?

[HUGE HINT ALERT!]

You MIGHT get it immediately if you were in this hobby or profession

Like a DIY store?

Think much more specialized, and you probably won't get dirty using this, not typically.

At the bottom, there's some kind of slit, indent, do you need take this or any other part of it off before you use the appliance.

Does it totally get removed, or does it just slide or turn?

It slides, that's one word for it, but the whole device (based include) can be removed as a unit.

I take it you can't hold it.

If YOU sat on it you would need medical attention.

So how do you use it?

There are enough clues on page 2 to figure this thing out.

Incorrect sorta, you would hold it, but technically you wouldn't grip this device while using it after setting it up.

The upper-most part of the object looks like it has a screw in it to hold it together, is that right?

Yes, it has a screw, but that doesnt play a part in how it's used, it's an assembly thing.
