the ability to complete them is tantalizing...

Know any good tongue twisters?

Here's one to start the list:

The proposal that the proposer proposed was preposterously preposterous!

Made that up myself :proud:

"A proper cup of coffee from a proper copper coffee pot"

Easy when you read it, now close your eyes and repeat.

There were also ..
Red Lorry , Yellow Lorry ..( harder than it looks ).
And

Betty Batter bit some batter but, she said, "This batter's bitter!" If I better this bitter batter, it'll better my bitter butter.

Leosghost, I couldn't resist....

I'm not the pheasant plucker, I'm the pheasant plucker's mate,
And I'm only plucking pheasants 'cause the pheasant plucker's late.
I'm not the pheasant plucker, I'm the pheasant plucker's son,
And I'm only plucking pheasants till the pheasant pluckers come.

I slit a sheet, a sheet I slit, upon a slitted sheet I sit.

I can do that, and after quite a bit of practice, I can repeat "red leather, yellow leather" quickly.

A big black bug bit a big black bear and the big black bear bled is a tough one for me, but I can do it with a few practice runs.

My sister has trouble with "tomato potato". Practice makes perfect.

Having trouble with a few new ones I've seen here, but I'll get 'em.

The sixth sick shiek's sixth sheep's sick.

And no, I can't say it.

Erm... dare I mention fuzzy duck, the tongue-twisting, alcohol fuelled drinking game?

;-)

I know this as:
Betty Botter bought some butter,
But she said this butter's bitter.
If I put it in my batter,
It will make my batter bitter.
But a bit of better butter,
Better that the bitter butter
Will make my bitter batter better.
So she bought some better butter
And it made her batter better.
So 'twas better Betty Botter
Made her bitter batter better.

I heard it first a long time ago and probably forgot it, tried to remember and it and remembered it incorrectly and edited without even realizing!

How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

It would chuck as much wood as a woodchuck could if a woodchuck could chuck wood.

A skunk sat on a stump and thunk the stump stunk,
but the stump thunk the skunk stunk.

One smart fellow, he felt smart. (repeat)

Lovely lemon liniment. (repeat)

Many an anemone sees an enemy anemone.

Amidst the mists and coldest frosts,
with stoutest wrists and loudest boasts,
he thrusts his fist against the posts
and still insists he sees the ghosts.

If you stick a stock of liquor in your locker,
It's slick to stick a lock upon your stock,
Or some stickler who is slicker
Will stick you of your liquor
If you fail to lock your liquor with a lock!

And there's the one they porpotedlty used to use to test for drunkeness.

The Leith police dismisseth us.

Are there any Welsh speakers present who want to tell us about "Cyfri'r Giefr"
