Once, long ago when I had my first laptop (a 486 just to tell you how long ago), I decorated it. It was not a great job, but I thought it was cool. (Okay, so maybe I watched Hackers a few too many times, but come on, computer cases are BORING.)

Now, several years later, I finally have gotten another laptop and I want to decorate it. But I want to do a nice job. Any ideas?

Angelina was nice in that movie, but we sat in the theater and kept laughing and laughing... I guess at least one halve of the audience would have liked to stuff our mouths...

I'd opt for airbrush. You need to carfully peel all the casing off and airbrush it. There is a very nice design-study called "Hack-Mac [ora-ito.com]" which appeals to me (even though I'm not that militaristic).

There's also dipping through paints/dyes - and do you know I have completely lost whatever it's actually called!? Sheesh. Anyway, I've seen many gorgeous patterns done this way, some like feathers, some like fractals....

I'm partial to fiber optics. Lots of tiny glittery lights.
