Welcome to a typically Foo-lish romp in search of the (hopefully) elusive Gizmo.

The usual questions apply:

  • What is it?
  • Where/When/Why/How is it used?
  • And of course: Where the!@#$% can I find the!@#$% image posted?

To see a pic of this weeks most wanted:
[saltspring.gulfislands.com ]

Assuming LisaB doesn't have three in her garage and ends this before the rest of us are awake image "hints" will be provided starting with a handy-dandy "Search Compass".

In keeping with tradition an occassional Foo-lish Pic will be provided for your amusement along the way at:
[saltspring.gulfislands.com ] starting with a graphic of the many high tech tools required to play.

Enjoy.

So I guess no one wants to play with me ...

Boo Hoo

New Foo-lish Pic posted showing the new warning sign on the street by your house ... Just refresh the page ... well look at it at least once ...

Is it the toilet seat used on the Space Shuttle?

Timotheos: ouch! the astronauts are pleased to say that it is not their toilet seat.

Heehee, I just looked at the first Foo-lish pic :-)

Man, I don't even know where to start. Are there moving parts? Is this part of something else or is it a stand alone gizmo?

As this quiz is slower than molasses in January I will invoke image hint no. 1:

SEX appeal.

If that doesn't help viewer stats nothing will.

Note: to see Click Page Refresh for Foo-GQ link.

Timotheos:
* Some bending otherwise in a fixed position.
* what you see is what there is.

For that very nice WebmasterWorld member Timotheos who is the only one willing to play with me a new Foo-lish-Pic: click refresh to see.

And yes you do indeed "have the right stuff" in my book!

Does it generate heat?

grandpa:
thank you oh thank you for joining in.

In and of itself it is inert: any heat generation would be a contrary reaction and considered potentially harmful.

To my knowledge there is no such thing in my garage...

;)

Is it bigger than a breadbox?

When you say "bending", does it move in a ball-and-socket kind of way (like the mount for a monitor)?

For political correctness and to encourage the ladies to play with me:

Image Hint No. 2: SEX appeal for the ladies.

Apparently sex appeal does not draw WebmasterWorld members.
Bunch of geeks.

And are they brackets at (what appears to be) the back above and below; used to attach it to a wall?

Three Cheers: Welcome bunltd and EBear:

* depends on you breadbox ;-)
* OK, even smaller than a non-Texan breadbox.
* bend as in slight, very slight, flex.

See my Foo-Lish-Pic of LisaB - yes those hands are truly faster than a speeding bullet.

Does it absorb strain/stress?

EBear:

see Hint No. 3 for "exploded view from a different angle.
"brackets" are for fastening but not to a wall.

EBear:

stress/shock absorbsion is one of the purposes of the middle layer.

Went looking for "shock absorber". Lots of pictures of bras. Be right back.

Over an hour and few palyers and fewer guesses.

Well I'm thinking it's a gizmo to remove hair... like unsightly back hair.. but I can't find a picture.

LisaB: it is "used" by being installed into something else but it is a complete entity in and of itself.

like unsightly back hair

And just what is wrong with my back hair?

Absolutely nothing to do with hair.

Image Hint No. 4 is now available.

This is a similar "type" of gizmo.
