Much of WebmasterWorld is magically entertaining and wonderfully educational to one who spends most days designing b2b sites, intranets, databases, and user interfaces: arcane advertising/marketing incantations, black hats and helicopters, mass hysteria over, and micro-analysis of, every IT news item, press release, and blog rumour ...

I lead such a very dull life.

A post box, toll-free phone/fax numbers, a couple of e-mail addresses, a business card that could use a re-design ... still no website of my own after ten years of designing other peoples ...

I have never clicked an on-line ad of any description, I use multiple SEs on every query, my browser home page is "blank", my favourite colour is #a9a9a9, I have an accountant and a lawyer on retainers, I only work to explicit contract ...

I sound so bloody boring.
Am I the only crashing bore hanging out here?

Time I think to haul out the #000 clothing and add some jalapenos to my diet. Play in the SERPs with the spam sharks and affiliate piranha.

I will let you know how long it takes to be "Banned in Google".
Mid-life Crisis No. 2 here I come: black hat tipped low to shadow features ...
Thanks WebmasterWorld.

Don't have a homepage of my own either. I'm toying for years with the idea to set up a shrine to the song "Papa was a rolling stone" and all of its reincarnations (I have over 60 of them) - but I never found time to do so. I have a wife, two kids, a car, a regular office job and a boss who only half understands what difference I actually make for his company. Sometimes I daydream to get a second income by offering the same to his competition - they would certainly need it - but I'm too cowardly for that.

So, who's boring?
