What are you doing for red nose day? [rednoseday.com] Anybody got any festivities planned?

We don't usually don't do much. We donate at other charitable companies and events.

You can always buy the Little Britain DVD. Costs £5 with around £3.40 going to the charity.

Does anybody ever find any of the red nose day TV remotely funny? To me it is the worst kind of dross. Z-List comedy by has-beens. It's about the only time that boring old Lenny Henry and his hideous wife get on TV.

We shouldn't need rubbish like this to make us give to charity.

I for one won't be watching it.

It's not really about the comedy :(

I've bought that DVD too, Little Britain is hilarous :)

Will be doing my bit, but only via a contribution, no sitting in a bath of beans for me.

Never catch the TV programming, not becasue of the quality, but because they air it on a friday night.

Addictive Fooday fun: [speedyrelief.com...] can you beat 11.5 seconds?

Likewise. More than happy to give in the name of charity and frequently do - don't need this mass hysteria.

By the same token though, I do remember - about 10 years ago and relative to one TV charity special - coming back from the pub late at night exceptionally drunk and thinking it would be a good idea to phone up and offer £200 for the tie that Terry Wogan - the presenter - was wearing! They didn't accept my offer...

I hear that every time Wogan does one of these charity telethons at least one person offers 1000 pounds if he takes his wig off - secure in the knowledge that it will never happen.

Is RND like a National Donate to Some Charity Day?

Yes. There's a massive TV show where the BBC (British Broadcasting Company) host a four hour show annually. People are encouarged to do charitable events by buying a red nose, dying your hair red, do crazy things or just donate.

Some people really enjoy it and others like me think that the BBC might aswell not host the show.

Thanks, cmatcme. Yeah, like most situations, there are two sides. At any rate, may it be productive for the sake of those who have need of those type services.
