More than 7,000 people have said they will pay to fly into space in one of entrepreneur Richard Branson's space ships - which have yet to be built.

Putting aside the cost of £115,000, if you won a ticket to take a ride on the first Virgin Galactic flight, would you?

At this moment in time I think my answer would have to be 'No', as, being a chicken I'd want the thing to have flown a good few times first...

Syzygy Cluck, cluck.. ;-)

The Short answer! YES, YES and Double YES!

All my boyhood dreams come true - can you imagine; weightlessness, the G forces on takeoff, viewing the world from that far into the sky. Just incredible to think that Virgin are atteptinng this. Maybe in my lifetime it might become normal for Long Haul - Australia in 3 hours from London....

I'd fly up there for the weightlessness but would you really want risk getting lost in space?

If you really wanted weightlessness, go to a simulator, they cost less and you've no fear of getting lost!

Absolutely! I was 2 years old when Apollo 11 landed on the moon and I watched with my parents - unfortunately I don't remember any of it anymore. Since then I was "hooked".

Either way, my name would go down in History for more than it will now. <chuckle>

Seriously, I would think the first-person view from up there would be astounding. So, youbetcha!

In a heartbeat, although, I think if I won a ticket, my husband would possibly kill me in order to get to use it instead. ;)

There was a commercial a few years ago for some electronics manufacture. It was of some older guy going through the training for an astronaut. Then at the end, he is filming the view of space and earth from inside the shuttle. The tag line was "When the kids ask where the inheritance went, show them the video." or something like that.

Anyway, that will be me and my hubby. My husband actually has it written into his will that when he dies, he wants to be cremated and the ashes launched into space. No joke!

Yes. Absolutely. Anytime.... I might have to figure out how to get the money....

I have to agree with hml though - my husband would NOT be thrilled - but not because HE wanted it instead! Far far from it.... risk and the thrill of the unknown is NOT his idea of fun.

Well, if people are going to think I'm a space cadet, I might as well actually get to go to outerspace. If only I had a rich relative. If only I looked like someone rich whom I could convince I was their relative....
