Sorry, was offline for the day.

PatrickDeese was closest so far - but too general. If given the choice between heater and coller I would rather go for cooler.

cool looking computer speakers?

You call that speakers? The blades would distort any hi-fi sound coming out of them. Not even the hearing-impaired would enjoy that!

OK, folks, I know I messed up with not being present for a while. But it can't be I'm the only one still awake? A few of you came pretty close, and it shouldn't be that difficult to come up with the very website this image came from. There must be some grey matter left over to solve this...

Tubing?. It looks more like NMN-90 steel clad wiring conduit than tubing. Maybe that is where the Power, and pherpherial cables go?

OK, I'm about to go to bed - so please no complaints!

I guess with the hints so far it might be possible to find the exact link where the image was taken from. If not, there is one exact and very common name for the technology used. And finally the unique gizmo this image belongs too has a name by which it was displayed in Los Angeles in 2002. If all else fails, just tell me exactly into what very un-computer-like device the tube leads.

Good night!

Yeah, we need somebody to enforce the rules, like 24 hours notice of a quiz, or else there is no point in continuing with this.

No offence to the current host, however we do need a commitment to the rules of the game, or else Im afraid the gizmo quiz will become a thing of the past.
