Oh gosh. That sounds ugly. Anyone handy to provide chicken soup? Take care of yourself!

We never get the flu - nice clean air, no kids....

For a healthier life - Green Tea, Garlic, Tomatoes (cooked), Blueberries, Cranberries, Olive Oil, Nuts and Seeds, Red Wine, green veg - Broccoli, etc.

Green tea should be made with water off the boil, and served without milk.

My wife just got over it (Oregon USA here, sure it was not her fault. :-) )

This may be a rumor but it really does seem to work for me as a preventative measure. I heard somewhere in my travels that one of the ways colds and flu infect is via the tear ducts. For years I've made a habit of not rubbing my eyes (which is REALLY difficult around 2 AM) and if I need to, use a paper towel or wash my hands first. My wife's flu came and went these last two weeks, all her friends are falling one by one, and I'm still not showing symtoms (knock-knock.)

Waaaaaaaaa....... keep away!
Lots of people around here, including good friends, are suffering the same thing - and W.H.O. say that where I live has one of the healthiest places in the world. Flu bugs sure enough enjoy it, LOL.

It sounds like you've got the same strain that was going around North London about two weeks ago. Nasty stuff.
