Ok, the art of the Super Bowl Ad is a long and cherished tradition in some circles. So I thought about it a bit, and the one that sticks out most in my mind is the Apple "1984" ad (Shown during the super Bowl in '84, of course)...

the ad itself [uriah.com]

After watching it again, it got me thinking...

One of these days I might actually get a Mac.

Anyone else got a favorite they can dredge up from memory?

The one with the two women advertising 'non-stick' stainless steel kitchen equipment is great

...the Apple "1984" ad...

That's what I was going to say when I saw the thread title. The spot was directed by Ridley Scott, who directed "Blade Runner." When I saw the ad, at first I wasn't sure what it was. It looked like a trailer for a great sci-fi film.

Anyway, tried the link to see it again, and nothing happened... nothing... just an empty picture frame where the spot was supposed to run. I'm on a new XP SP2 system. What do I have to do to make it work? I hope I don't have to buy a Mac. ;)

You must have quickTime.

As for the best commercial.. well... hm.. I loved the penguin commercials for budweiser. I don't remember the year, but I loved their 'dooby dooby doo'
