There I was with several new web clients on the go, half a cd full of tunes written and recorded and my youngest daughter presents me with the most stunning grandchild I've ever seen (well, actually, it's the first I've ever seen, but that's beside the point).
Am I to let this 2.75 kilo, 48cm long bundle of cuteness, who saw the light at 5:10 pm today, disrupt my life?
You're damn right I am!
Haven't seen so many stars since my daughters were born.
I really enjoy my work, but it just HAS to take a back seat for a few days while I soak up the marvel of childbirth, especially my child's childbirth.....
So, to hell with sorting out getting fonts to display right whatever the screen resolution. To hell with understanding ASP in order to display database results in a pleasing manner. To hell with checking that I'm still top of the SE lists with all my client's websites.
This kid has an 'abuelo rockero' (grandad to those gringos amongst us) who is gonna enjoy being just that!
Just don't ask me to cut my hair, 'cos that just doesn't enter into the equation........ ;)

Have fun, grandpa. Life's too short, and they grow up too fast....

Right after grabbing fingers hair is the best thing babies love to get grubby sticky hands on - remember?!

Congratulations to you and yours ... wonderful feeling ain't it?

Don't cut the hair. If the kid is gonna get a horsey ride, they will need a mane to hold onto :)

Congrats to you and your family!

Congrats, Abuelo! Now step away from the computer and go cuddle that new little bundle of cuteness, there's something about kissing the top of their little head that'll make you forget all about SERPS, SEO, CSS and all that work stuff. :)

My son and his wife presented us with our second grandson on 21 November last (the day before my birthday - you would have thought she could have waited a little longer!)

They visited us today and I took take the three year old out for an ice cream. Such bliss - who would have thought it. BTW I still consider myself to be a trendy Grandad but I am afraid that I still like the Stones, The Band, Rod Stewart and all of those in similar genres. If Mick Jagger can do it so can we.

(I hate Eminem BTW :o)

Phew, thanks for backing me up on the hair thing (might get it tidied up a bit though).
Moraira, well I'll be. I'm at Benitachell, just now. Since I'm road manager for The Rockets (a pretty good rock band), last weekend was one big party, the bands fans helped me wet the boy's (Raśl) head nicely.
We should get together sometime, cornwall, would make a change talking to someone who understands what I'm talking about, LOL.
