What, I look STUPID?

Just got one of the typical "OH PLEASE, SHIP YOUR PRODUCT MOST URGENTLY TO LAGOS, NIGERIA" emails.

Maybe it was TGIF, maybe it was after 4 pints of Black and Tan at Happy Hour, but I replied:

"Based on all the Nigerian credit card fraud, I wouldn't ship a flaming bag of cattle dung to Nigeria even if someone else prepaid the shipping costs"

Think I was too harsh?

Nope. You can never be too harsh with someone who types in allcaps and uses the words "URGENTLY" and "NIGERIA" in the same sentence.

Not harsh at all...and I bet they ordered a dozen or two of the same high priced ticket items.

Great reply, incrediBill, but I doubt any responses get read - unless it's something that says, "Shipping per your request, please forward IRC in amount of $10000000.00 asap".

At which point there's dancing in the streets and laughter all around....

Hey, I like it. Can I use that for my responses?
Why is it always from Nigeria and not from one of the other 200 or so countries?
Why don't they just order and see if it sticks? Takes too much time , I guess.
Too mess with them, I have responded, saying it's no problem, but they still didn't order. (I have to manually input cc's so I wouldn't have processed their order.

Is that copyright? Can I use it on my return emails please? I might start answering them. I use "Nigeria" as a spam filter on emails now.

I've redirected most, if not all the Nigerian, Ivory coast IP ranges to my competitors website.

The affected site has a well ranked classifieds section and my users were getting a couple of messages a day each.
