Hey, who was the Country Singer at the pre game show. Don't usually like C&W but I quite enjoyed that!

No clue - we don't bother with anything but the game.

Paul's just up. Amazing thing, he looks pretty damn good considering I KNOW he's older than I am! AND he sounds way better than the aged Kingston Trio....

I was just getting ready to post about the ads, n stuff.... gd's ad was totally tasteless, I'd hate to see the one they SCRUBBED! Sheesh.

You know who has the prize so far? The NFL. For its "tomorrow we're always undefeated" ad. That's actually PERFECT. It's a GREAT ad....

It was sort of obligatory to watch the half time stuff to get the ads, after all the stuff around here....

[Edits for typo idiocy.... *sigh*]

Thought Paul was great, much better than last years effort. Plus he's a brit :-)

What is gd?

Nice Bulldog - an AdSense site that says 'click here' pointing to the AdSense ads and nothing else loads on the page?

Doh - I'm just past halftime - forgot I was watching TiVo and that everyone is further into the game.

Sorry Bulldog, that site works if you turn flash on - I forget people watch flash sometimes.

Ooops - sorry, shouldn't prob'ly have posted a "realtime" score....

Yeah, bulldog's link is fine - IF (huge one for me!) you want to bother with anything flash on dial-up....

If anyone cares (or is like me and not watching the game but wants to see the commercials) ifilm has all the commercials and is making them live as they are played on TV. They even have the banned ones, there were a few, some as tasteless as the banned GD one.

HML, if the banned gd one was worse than the televised one, I guess I'm seriously appalled....

The most disapointing super bowl commercials ever!
What happened to humor?
Who wants to cry, its a football game.

One word for the vast majority of this years advertisers (and the lame agencies wrote those commercials)..... BORING!

the funniest commercial was when the parachuter through the bud light out of the plane and the pilot jumped out to get it. I was laughing pretty hard.

>> is like me and not watching the game but wants to see the commercials

You are not alone :)

>> the bud light

that was funny ,but the one i really liked is the careerbuilder commercials - funny and functional ,clearly conveyed the message! ...I liked the ameriquest ads also but i doubt people would have understood that its an ad for a mortgage company :)

gopi: I too think the ameriquest ads were nice - but yes, most outside the narrow range of people who use them (or realtors) wouldn't have realized what the company they ref'd provided.... the "mortgage" line was small, and quickly gone....

The ameriquest ads were the funniest, combined with the skydiving those were my 3 favorite of the night. But still a disapointing crop of commercials. But the game was good.

Bateman--
Pregame C&W were Gretchen Wilson (she sings "redneck woman") and of course, Charlie Daniels
