"Star Trek: Enterprise," the latest incarnation of one of the most storied franchises in televised science-fiction history, will end its four-season run in May, broadcaster UPN says.UPN said on Wednesday the last episode would air on Friday, May 13. The series generated 98 episodes over its run, although it struggled in the ratings.
But a show from the point of view of the Klingons.... Now THAT might actually be worth turning the tube on for. Set it even before "Enterprise" - during the klingon clan wars. That could be positively brilliant. Constant warfare and political machinations. Weehaw!
I will miss Enterprise,I am sad.Watching the Star Trek series always inspired me,because the message was, even when the mission seemed hopeless.(And, I like hopeless dramas,e.g., Hill Street Blues,Law & Order, and My So-Called Life.
Generalizations about the previous four Star Trek series late sucess:
The Original Series:
Kirk,Spock,McCoy and syndication.
The Next Generation:
1.Picard said "make it so",and then
he made it so.
2."The Best Of Both Worlds"(the Borg).
Deep Space Nine:
Worf,Sisko's shaved head and beard and Brook's decision to stop sleepwalking, and play Captain Sisko with more swagger.
Voyager:
Seven Of Nine,The Borg.
Rick Berman has said that "Nemisis" was the last TNG movie.I will miss the TNG movies.I wonder were Data's clone (B-4), character would have taken him.
Enterprise failed becaused it had the hard-core Star Trek fans, but could not bring in the casual fans.I wonder what Berman was going to do with Shatner.
