Canada's new fight on terrorism

Is this such a big deal that Canada needs a law to fight it?

Man! Canada is outlawing all kinds of fun between consenting adults . . .

Dwarf Tossing Ban Act [ontla.on.ca]

That's only Ontario... I think there's still plenty of places in Canada where you can chuck a dwarf about.

And here I was thinking it was only the EU that came up with these laws...

I wonder what on earth prompted somebody to come up with that?

I remember what brought it on... Some years ago, little people complained that it, ahem, belittled them.

(That, and I believe a little person was seriously injured in Texas. Or Australia. Or both...)

Kinda makes me want to leave Ontario and move to a province where the dwarfs fly free and far.

Interesting... My favorites for my home state are 'No catching whales' and 'No using a moose to hunt with'

LOL! I've never really had any motivation to visit Canada, but now I'm not sure I can resist!

Any OTHER interesting sports that may be banned soon?

Yeah, hockey [webmasterworld.com].

I looked down at a urinal puck yesterday and started to weep.

Curiously enough in United States it would be considered politically incorrect to refer to a person who is extremely short as a dwarf.
So if they were to ever pass a law in United States prohibiting Dwarf tossing:
The phrase: (1) No person shall organize a dwarf tossing event or engage in dwarf tossing.
would probably be amended to read: (1) No person shall organize a height-disadvantaged person tossing event or engage in a height-disadvantaged person tossing.

I almost hesitate to ask this, pmac.... but what's a urinal puck? Or do I really want to know?

Um. I think hockey IS dead now, from the news today.

its a puck that they put in urinals that act as air fresheners or something.
