Actually, their is no sweeter sound, than the distortion of an overdriven tube amp :)

Whose ears are worth over 80 grand? And this amp isn't overdriven, it's just a hi-fi amp (not to be confused with a guitar amp, which is designed for narrow band application specific sound reproduction)

While an $80,000 amplifier is hard for us mortals to grasp, I personally am glad to live in a world where $80,000 amps exist along with people who can afford to buy them, because under that system it is (theoretically) possible for ME to become one of those people.

Besides, those exotic, glowing tubes are just plain cool to look at!

OOOOOOo....
I have a Linn Sondek LP12 with Syrinx PU2 and Linn Azak, that would feed that beastie some amazing signals!
Just need a serious pair of speakers¿¿¿
How about an active system with Linn Isobarik speakers?

I have a pair of stereo transistor class A amps (Electrocompaniet) here, with Heybrook HB2s (ran out of money as my family grew).
Excellent sound quality.
