It doesn't matter if the guy is a recluse because the story will guarantee some publicity for the winning bidder. If it doesn't go too high, it could be well worth it for someone. Of course, after this story is dead, it won't work for anyone else.

I'm with Sanenet on this: the real story is not the guy with the forehead for sale, but the fabulous BBC graphics department which has once again breached the depths of incompetence with its accompanying "guy with some text floating vaguely near his head.jpg". I think even I could do a better job than that, and that's saying something...

Saw this on the local TV and on many media outlets ,now many me too froehead ad auctions on ebay :)
I guess ebay purposely leaks contreversial/humerous auctions to the media!
