'Twas the night before New Year and all through the forum,
not a member was posting, with not-quite decorum
All websites were hosted with the utmost of care
in faint hope that spiders, would soon be there.

Web Masters were sitting with family and friends,
taking a break from programs and mends.
For algos and listings had been pulled apart,
and now it was time to just walk in the park.

Then out in the forums there arose such a sound,
I just had to check to see what had been found.
A new Engine perhaps, or Directory now live?
Not at all, just welcoming, Two Thousand and Five.

-----

Happy New Year to all WebmasterWorld Members wherever you are.
May 2005 be more than you are hoping for.

I'd like to send out a special thank you to this entire community.

The knowledge I've received from WebmasterWorld over the last 4 years has allowed me to realize the American dream of building something of value and getting rewarded for it.

Thanks to All and Happy New Year!

Still 4.5 hours to go here, but Happy New Year to everyone anyway, we'll have our split of champagne and head to bed shortly after midnight.... snowing and blowing a gale here, so we are NOT going out to the parties in the valley....

I hope the New Year will bring love, peace, joy and hope to all, and that anyone who has lost family, friends, loved ones in the various natural (and UN-natural!) disasters of 2004 will somehow somewhere find peace and solace in their bereavement.

My best to everyone "here", wherever you all may be!
