Very clear here - need a better camera.

8 year old son is disappointed, had to come in for bed, he was enjoying terrorizing the neighborhood on scooters with his friends - although we did get a credible explanation of how an eclipse works from him...

We had a very clear sky here too. I really liked the halo.

One of my neighbours told me she was going to hide inside her apartment and pull all the blinds... "It's an eclipse, this is dangerous!" I wonder if she is going to stay in there all week.

Heh, was sitting around watching "Hell Boy" when they neighbour came to bang on the door to tell us about this.

There was still a slight crescent as we went outside, so the four of us (my neighbour, his wife, my fiance and myself) stood around in the cold for half an an hour to watch it go dark red in its entirety.

It was perfectly clear here, and frickin' cold last night, but worth it.

Next one is in March 2007, I think we where lucky.

Here is NASA's shedule for next lunar [sunearth.gsfc.nasa.gov] and solar [sunearth.gsfc.nasa.gov] eclipses. You can consult charts for visibility in your erea.

Don't know if it has to do with the lunar eclipse but sales went up 100% yesterday in my online shop. Many orders after midnight which is unusual. Obviously people were surfing the internet while waiting for the moon to disappear.

Hope the next eclipse comes soon...

Ditto. Had the ole tripod rigged up and everything. Bummer. All the pics are so damned tiny......me thinks it's time to retire the RCA CDS4100 1.54 Megapixel camera and opt for something with better magnification abilities.

You hit it there, Macguru. I think the halo was the most beautiful thing about the entire event.

While some kids were out terrorizing their neighborhoods, ours seemed to have gotten quieter... :)
